Iván Hernández is the Sales Engineering Manager for Proofpoint Southeast. He has over 30 years of experience in Information and Cyber Security, providing leadership for companies in various sectors, including Financial, Hospitality, Healthcare, and Retail industries. Iván joined Proofpoint as a Senior Sales Engineer in 2016, and in that role, he provided technical advice for cyber security issues for companies all across the Southeast. He has held an active CISSP certification since 2002.
Greg Shadle is the Sr. Sales Engineering Manager for Proofpoint South Central Area and Healthcare. He has 29 years of experience in Information and Cyber Security, providing leadership for companies in various sectors, including Financial, Oil & Gas, Healthcare, Aerospace, Technology and Retail industries. Greg joined Proofpoint in 2021, and in this role provides technical advice for cyber security issues for companies all across the South Central and Southeast Areas. He holds active certifications in CISSP and HCISPP.
Brian Reed is Sr. Director of Cybersecurity Strategy at Proofpoint. He comes to Proofpoint from Gartner where he focused on a wide variety of topics - cloud security, data security, incident response, insider threats and security awareness. Since 2015, he published over 50 thought-leading research notes at Gartner, including Cool Vendors reports, Market Guides for Digital Forensics and Incident Response Services and Security Awareness Training, Risk Management research, as well as the last two Gartner Magic Quadrants for Enterprise DLP. Prior to Gartner, he spent over 15 years in a variety of business development, product management, sales and system engineering roles, at companies including Sourcefire (acquired by Cisco), HP, McAfee and Internet Security Systems (acquired by IBM). He is well known in the information security industry and has spoken at numerous Gartner events, as well as other industry events globally. Brian also serves as an advisory board member and holds a BA degree from The University of Georgia and an MBA from Kennesaw State University.
Matthew Gardiner has more than 20 years of experience as a technical product & marketing executive with enterprise focused IT security products. He has worked at key vendors of cybersecurity solutions, including Netegrity, RSA Security, Mimecast, and Rapid7. At Proofpoint he is working with the team to bring the Identity Protection/ITDR solution to market. He has significant experience in many security markets, including security monitoring/SIEM/SOAR, email & web security, security awareness training, SOC management, managed detection and response, identity & access management, & cloud-based security controls. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an SM in Management from the MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
Laura Hamel has 15 years’ experience as product strategist in the cybersecurity and SaaS industries focusing on acquisitions and innovation. She has presented at industry events and webinars focused on Security Operations, Threat Protection, and Business Email Compromise (BEC). At Proofpoint, Laura works directly with product managers, threat researchers, and end users to build advanced, human-centric email security solutions. Laura is passionate about leveraging her expertise to help companies navigate the complex cybersecurity landscape and achieve their business objectives. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
