I Support the Girls - Bring Your Extra Bras and Period Products!

Homeless women need bras and menstrual hygiene products. Help ‘support the girls’, by donating I Support the Girls Donation Boxnew or used bras/sports bras and sealed packages of maxi pads and tampons.

I Support the Girls (ISTG) collects and distributes essential items, including bras and menstrual hygiene products, allowing people experiencing homelessness, impoverishment, or distress to stand tall with dignity. People rarely donate bras and menstrual hygiene products. Can you look in your drawers for any used bras that you no longer wear? Featured Panelists

Milada Copeland
Milada Copeland | Board Member and former CISO/CIO

Milada Copeland graduated from Utah State University in 1988 and embarked on what she thought would be a 6-year military career. In the end, she served for 34.5 years as a full-time officer in the Utah Army National Guard, with assignments covering a spectrum of specialties – from logistics and finance to IT. She also served in leadership positions at every level available – from platoon leader to brigade commander and culminated her career as the Chief of Staff of the Utah Army National Guard.

Along the way she focused on becoming educated and prepared for every position, resulting in additional degrees and certificates in most specialties she worked in – in addition to the original BS in Biology from USU, she has an MBA (UofU), BS in Computer Management and Information Science (University of Maryland), MS in Strategic Studies (US Army War College), Graduate Chief Information Officer Certificate (NDU), and MS in Cybersecurity (SUU) – in chronological order. After retiring with the rank of colonel from the military in 2020 she worked for 3 years as the Chief Information Security Officer at Progrexion, Inc – a credit repair company in Salt Lake City, and was responsible for greatly improving and modernizing the company’s security posture.

Since June 2023 Milada has taken a sabbatical from full-time work, only to find that the non-profit board assignments take more time than a full-time job. She’s a board member for Color Country Animal Welfare in Torrey, UT, and a board member for the Torrey Mercantile, a benefit non-profit aiming to establish a mercantile space hosting a restaurant and a grocery store in Torrey (where Milada and her husband have a cabin). Milada’s hobbies include scuba diving and underwater photography, wheel-thrown pottery, running and hiking with her dogs, and, of course, doing as much techie stuff as she can. She spends most of her time in Draper, where she lives with her husband and their two dogs. Her motto in life has always been “get it done.”
