Women Who Cyber brings together a diverse group of aspiring and thriving cybersecurity professionals for dynamic and interactive events where they can network with peers, establish meaningful mentoring relationships, share knowledge, and enjoy unique experiences.

You’ll learn from, and be inspired by, our panel of influential women as they discuss how they broke through the glass ceiling and continue to pave the way for women to lead and excel in the industry. They’ll also discuss the unique challenges women face, as well as the importance of diversity and gender equality in the workplace.

Nitza Daniel
Nitza Daniel | Area Vice President of West Named Accounts, Proofpoint, Inc.

Nitza Daniel is the Area Vice President of West Named Accounts at Proofpoint. Mrs. Daniel has thrived in the technology industry since 1993 and has held key individual contributor and leadership roles at notable companies such as EMC and Veritas/Symantec. In 2015, she joined Proofpoint and has since more than doubled the size of the PNW NAM team while maintaining a high level of employee retention, revenue growth and overall Proofpoint product adoption. Nitza speaks three languages and holds degrees in Industrial Engineering and a Computer Science. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading and eating dessert.

Samantha Meyer
Samantha Meyer | Sr. Systems Engineering Manager – Americas, SLED West, Proofpoint, Inc.

Samantha is a 30 year IT veteran who leads Proofpoint’s System Engineering SLED organization for the America’s. In her current role, Samantha’s engineering organization works with State & Local government and Education customers across the Central and Western United States to implement advanced security solutions. Prior to her current role, Samantha was the lead Principal SE for the Proofpoint Western SLED team and has been a Technical Solution Architect from software development, to Data Center architecture, to Voice / Collaboration solutions, and designing network infrastructures. In these areas, Samantha has worked with some of the world’s largest service providers, enterprise, commercial, education customers, as well as some of the largest resellers within the IT industry. Samantha holds numerous industry certifications and speaks regularly at large events covering deep technical topics to large scale architecture discussions. Samantha holds a CISSP certification, as well as a B.S. degree in Computer Science & Mathematics from SUNY Albany, and a M.S. degree in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering from Columbia University.

Michele Buschman
Michele Buschman | Chief Information Officer, American Pacific Mortgage

Michele joined American Pacific Mortgage in January 2014 to lead and develop APM’s Information Services Team. She is responsible for the overall daily operations and strategy of all APM infrastructure, systems, software applications, data, development, technical support, and security, supporting the organization at a nationwide level. She acts in the role of CIO, CTO and CISO. Michele brings a diverse range of skills and experience to APM spanning 30 years in the mortgage finance industry and holding leadership roles in both operations and in technology. She has extensive experience in business process design and development, software design, development and implementation, system integrations, vendor management, project management, infrastructure design, cloud transformation, customer support, security operations, and business relationship management. Outside of Work, Michele enjoys camping in the sierras and spending time at the beach with her family. She loves to read, and truly enjoys learning new things. She’d be a professional student if she could! She is also an avid fan of classic cars and hot rods and owns her own 1971 Chevy Stingray Convertible Corvette.

Kimberly Quan
Kimberly "KQ" Quan | Senior Manager, Information Security, Juniper Networks

Kimberly "KQ" Quan is a Senior Manager of Information Security at Juniper Networks heading up Security Awareness, Culture, and Training as a leader of the CISO’s Cyber Fusion Team. Prior to this role, KQ spent over twenty years concentrating on operational efficiency and maturity, leading Forensics, eDiscovery, Data Loss Prevention, and Information Governance initiatives at Juniper as well as other Fortune 500 companies and notable global consulting firms. In Spring of 2020, KQ started Feed the Frontlines SF, a not-for-profit organization with a mission to (i) engage with local restaurants that are a huge part of San Francisco's unique culture to (ii) provide meals to the San Francisco frontliners who have been working around the clock to fight COVID-19 as well as those who have been affected or displaced.

This event is suitable for information security decision makers, including: CXO, VP of IT, Director of IT; mid-level information security management (Senior Security Manager, IT Security Manager, IT Manager) and technical information security practitioners (Security Engineer, Messaging Architect, IT Analyst). This event is not open to channel or technology partners.
