Proofpoint Spotlight:
Defending Governments
from Business Email Compromise

Zoom | Tuesday, May 18, 2021 | 11:00AM - 12:00PM PT

No two Business Email Compromise (BEC) and Email Account Compromise (EAC) attacks are alike. These complex, multi-faceted attacks are difficult to prevent—and the costs can be devastating. Identity deception and spoofing can result in compromised data and can cost agencies millions in fraudulent transactions. Cybercriminals target your employees’ corporate and personal email, cloud apps, and supply chain using various tactics, such as password spray, phishing, or malware.

Join us at Proofpoint Spotlight: Defending Governments from Business Email Compromise, where we’ll chat with Ian Sanford, Systems Architect with the State of California, Department of Public Health, about how they’re using Proofpoint Email Fraud Defense (EFD) to help combat email spoofing.

We’ll also share:

  • The tactics attackers use to hijack legitimate email accounts
  • How a layered approach addresses the multitude of tactics malicious actors are using
  • Comprehensive BEC and EAC prevention strategies
  • Email authentication of your third-party senders
