Robert was previously at Informatica, where he led product marketing for Informatica’s data privacy and data protection solutions. Lucia Milică | Global Resident CISO, Proofpoint, Inc.

Lucia Milică currently serves as Global Resident CISO at Proofpoint. She is a senior technology leader with over 20 years of technical and business experience. In her previous role, Milică was the VP, Chief Information Security Officer & Chief Privacy Officer for Polycom, responsible for all aspects of data privacy and information security. She also held leadership and technical roles in IT governance & strategy, security risk and compliance, corporate and product security, data privacy, and IT infrastructure at companies including Polycom, HP, Palm, Wells Fargo, and Franklin Templeton. Milică serves as an advisor on the board of University Of Colorado, School of Business’s Center for Information Technology Innovation and holds a Master in Business Administration and Juris Doctorate.

Sherrod DeGrippo | Sr. Director, Threat Research and Detection, Proofpoint, Inc.

Sherrod DeGrippo is the Sr. Director, Threat Research and Detection for Proofpoint. She leads a worldwide malware research team to advance Proofpoint threat intelligence and keep organizations safe from cyberattacks. With more than 15 years of information security experience, DeGrippo successfully directs her 24/7 team to investigate advanced threats, release multiple daily security updates and create scalable threat intelligence solutions that integrate directly into Proofpoint products. Prior to Proofpoint, she led Nexum’s information security professional services practice for penetration testing, web application assessment, risk assessment and security consulting. Before Nexum, DeGrippo served as a senior solutions engineer for Symantec and was responsible for managed security solutions. Along with these positions, she has created internal services offerings for top secret government facilities and is a former Georgia Tech Linux Users Group officer. A frequent incident response and forensics speaker across user groups, DeGrippo holds numerous certifications including SANS GCFA - GIAC Certified Forensics Analyst, SANS GCIH - GIAC Certified Incident Handler, and NSA INFOSEC Assessment Methodology (NSA-IAM).

Mark Guntrip | Director, Product Marketing, Proofpoint, Inc.

Mark Guntrip leads product marketing for Email Security solutions at Proofpoint. He brings over eighteen years of experience in the enterprise security market where, through a range of roles including engineering, product management and product marketing. Guntrip has a proven track record of building success in new markets as well as promoting growth within more established areas. Prior to Proofpoint, Guntrip held various management roles within companies including Symantec and Cisco. Guntrip earned his master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Southampton University, UK.

Cook Street Culinary School

Cook Street School of Culinary Arts was founded in 1999 as a contemporary culinary center devoted to providing a professional and recreational experience not found anywhere else in the country. For this fun off-site activity, PAC members and Proofpoint executives will join forces for a culinary competition.

After being divided into teams, groups will put their cooking skills to the test with a ravioli making challenge. Each teams dish will be judged by the chefs at Cook Street Culinary. Following this friendly competition the group will enjoy a plated dinner highlighting seasonal offerings from the local area.

Erich Anderson is an Insider Threat Principal for Proofpoint Insider Threat Management. Brian Reed | Cybersecurity Evangelist, Proofpoint, Inc.

Brian Reed is our Cybersecurity Evangelist at Proofpoint. He comes to Proofpoint from Gartner where he focused on a wide variety of topics - cloud security, data security, incident response, insider threats and security awareness. Since 2015, he published over 50 thought-leading research notes at Gartner, including Cool Vendors reports, Market Guides for Digital Forensics and Incident Response Services and Security Awareness Training, Risk Management research, as well as the last two Gartner Magic Quadrants for Enterprise DLP. Previous to Gartner, he spent over 15 years in a variety of business development, product management, sales and system engineering roles, at companies including Sourcefire (acquired by Cisco), HP, McAfee and Internet Security Systems (acquired by IBM). He is well known in the information security industry and has spoken at numerous Gartner events, as well as other industry events globally. Mission

The Customer Advisory Board (CAB) for Proofpoint is established as a forum for customers to provide strategic input and advice into the direction of Proofpoint. In addition, it provides a structure for questions, concerns, and issues to be raised and for Proofpoint to engage with customers on important industry topics.

Scope

The CAB is designed to serve the Proofpoint organization globally. The CAB is not product-specific; any customer in any market segment using a Proofpoint product can participate on the board, because the board will address issues, initiatives, recommendations, and strategies that are more holistic and comprehensive than any specific product or product feature.

Executive Sponsors

The CAB is sponsored by the EVP of Cybersecurity Strategy and is managed by the Global Resident CISO.

Objectives

The CAB shall endeavor to provide strategic direction to Proofpoint that:

Helps inform and drive Proofpoint technologies, policies, and investments
Helps identify new products and solutions
Helps determine areas, products, or services that may need to be changed and/or improved
Identifies customer priorities and needs based on industry trends and enterprise security and compliance initiatives

Membership Criteria, Responsibilities, and Expectations

All CAB members must be employees of enterprises currently using at least one Proofpoint product. Each member is required to attend every meeting. In unavoidable circumstances or conflicts, a member can miss one meeting. If a member misses two meetings in the same calendar year, they relinquish their membership. CAB members agree to have their personal name and company name made public as being part of the CAB.

Duration

CAB membership commitment is for a minimum of two years. After the initial two-year term ends, the future makeup and membership tenure of the board will be determined by the interest of existing members to remain on the board, weighed against interest from other clients to join the board.

Benefits

CAB members will have early visibility into key strategic decisions, challenges, and opportunities faced by Proofpoint, which will help them and their companies with their own security strategies. CAB meetings may be attended by Proofpoint executives at all levels of the organization, providing further insight into the overall corporation’s strategies as well as industry knowledge and trends.

Meeting Frequency

Proofpoint will host an in-person meeting for the CAB once a year as well as 1–2 virtual meetings.

Ashan Willy is the Chief Executive Officer at Proofpoint. In his previous role, he led Product Management, Engineering and Threat Research for the Proofpoint Security Products and Services Group. Mr. Willy brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in engineering, product management, worldwide strategy and planning in global markets to his role. Before that, he led Global Systems Engineering, Customer Success and Renewals for Proofpoint. Prior to Proofpoint, he led teams at Webex, Juniper, Polycom and Cisco. Mr. Willy holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University in California and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from McMaster University in Ontario, Canada. He also holds a CCIE, among other industry designations.

Blake Salle | Chief Revenue Officer, Proofpoint, Inc.

Blake P. Sallé is the Chief Revenue Officer at Proofpoint. Mr. Sallé joined Proofpoint in 2017. In his capacity as CRO he leads all customer facing and go-to-market functions. Previous to this role, Mr. Sallé held the position of EVP, Worldwide Sales and led the Americas sales organization. Before joining Proofpoint, Mr. Sallé served as President of Kony, the leading provider of enterprise mobility solutions. He was responsible for all go-to-market functions and customer operations globally. During his career, Mr. Sallé has held key leadership positions across Worldwide Sales, Channels, Customer Success, Strategy, and Field Operations in five different capacities, ranging from start-up to scale-out. He has worked for some of the most recognized and innovative organizations in technology and healthcare. These organizations include Cisco, VCE, VMware, EMC, Johnson & Johnson, CSC, and an Andreessen Horowitz backed start-up acquired by RSA. Mr. Sallé holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

Ryan Kalember | EVP, Cybersecurity Strategy, Proofpoint, Inc.

With over 20 years of experience in the information security industry, Mr. Kalember currently leads cybersecurity strategy for Proofpoint and is a sought-out expert for leadership and commentary on breaches and best practices. His global team of security experts ensures that Proofpoint’s customers have consistent insight into the attacks that target their people. Mr. Kalember joined Proofpoint from WatchDox where he served as both chief product officer and CMO, leading the development of pioneering data-centric security solutions through to the company’s acquisition. Previously, Ryan ran solutions across HP’s portfolio of security products, was director of product strategy at ArcSight, and held a variety of positions at VeriSign, including EMEA regional manager and senior product manager. Early in his career, Ryan was a security practitioner, helping build many leading security organizations and security operations centers (SOCs) around the world. He received his bachelor's degree from Stanford University, where he studied fault tolerance, cryptography, and authentication algorithms.

Mayank Choudhary (MC) leads the Proofpoint Information & Cloud Security Products. As the GM, MC is responsible for driving technology innovation to deliver a world-class platform that helps our customers protect their people and data and secure the cloud. As a leader in this fast-growing business, he oversees product, engineering and threat research teams around the world. With more than 20 years of experience in product leadership roles, MC brings a deep knowledge of cybersecurity and technology to Proofpoint. His experience ranges from fast-growing startups to Fortune 500 technology companies. Before joining Proofpoint in 2019, he served as SVP, Product and Engineering at ObserveIT, a Bain Capital funded cybersecurity startup. In that role, he and his team built the category-defining Insider Threat Management solution that led the company to a successful acquisition by Proofpoint. MC resides in Boston with his wife & daughter.

Lucia Milică | VP, Global Resident Chief Information Security Officer, Proofpoint, Inc.

Lucia Milică Stacy serves as VP, Global Resident Chief Information Security Officer at Proofpoint, a leading cybersecurity and compliance company. She is a senior technology leader with over 20 years of extensive technical and business experience. In her previous role, Lucia was the VP, Chief Information Security Officer & Chief Privacy Officer for Polycom, where she managed all aspects of data privacy and information security. She has also held leadership and technical roles in IT governance & strategy, security risk and compliance, corporate and product security, data privacy, and IT infrastructure at other companies, including HP, Palm, Wells Fargo, and Franklin Templeton. Many organizations in the cybersecurity industry and broader business community have asked her to speak at their conferences, symposiums, and other events. She has also extended her contributions to her profession by serving as an advisory board member and active participant with the cybersecurity industry and relevant industry groups, including board membership on the National Technology Security Coalition, and service with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) 405(d) Cybersecurity Task Group, SC Media Advisory Board, and Forbes Technology Council. She has a Master of Science in Information and Cybersecurity degree from the University of California, Berkeley. She also holds Master in Business Administration and Juris Doctorate degrees.

Tim Choi | VP, Product Marketing, Proofpoint, Inc.

Tim Choi is responsible for product marketing of all products and solutions at Proofpoint. Prior to Proofpoint, he was a member of the product management leadership team at BlackBerry and was part of the turnaround journey of the company to software and security. Choi also led product management and product marketing at WatchDox (acquired by BlackBerry) and product initiatives for VASCO’s cloud authentication services. Choi started his career as the first employee at Voltage Security (acquired by HP), where he held leadership roles in product management, technical sales, services and business development. He has a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and M.S. degree in Management Science and Engineering, both from Stanford University.

Mike Stacy | Senior Director of Enterprise Security Strategy, Proofpoint, Inc.

Mike Stacy is the Senior Director of Enterprise Security Strategy at Proofpoint. In this role Mike and his team of security architects focus on aligning Proofpoint’s solution strategy to customer priorities and outcomes. Previously Mike was Director of Advanced Technology for Proofpoint, where he led a global team focused on areas including cloud security, CASB, SASE/SSE, Enterprise DLP, Email Fraud Defense, SOAR, browser isolation, and security awareness training. Prior to joining Proofpoint Mike held numerous consulting, technical sales, product strategy, and leadership roles at a variety of organizations. Over the course of his career Mike has worked with some of the world’s largest companies and government agencies to drive innovation across a variety of technology disciplines including security, messaging, networking, and collaboration.

Daren Lee | EVP and GM, Security Products and Services Group, Proofpoint, Inc.

Darren Lee is responsible for the Proofpoint Security Products and Services Group. As GM, Darren is responsible for the Proofpoint core security offerings for Threat, Email Security, Identity Defense, Threat Research and Machine Learning. Prior to this role, Darren led the company’s Compliance and Digital Risk group, the financial services segment, and machine learning investments. Before joining Proofpoint, Darren served as the Founder and CEO of NextPage, a leading provider of Information Governance solutions. Having founded multiple startup companies, he has vast experience in defining markets, creating products, executing acquisitions, and driving revenue to build viable businesses. Darren holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from BYU.

Logistics

Arrival/Departure Times:

Arrival: We ask that all attendees book travel to arrive in time to depart Hotel Clio by 5:00pm MT for our evening off-site activity. The hotel is approximately 25 miles from Denver International Airport. Departure: Check out time at Hotel Clio is 12:00pm MT. Any late check out requests will be managed directly by the hotel.
Hotel

We strongly suggest you submit your request as soon as possible as space may be limited or not available. You can make your intent to arrive early or stay late when you register by noting preferred arrival / departure dates.
Hotel Stay Extensions

Proofpoint will cover two (2) nights room and tax — Monday, October 23, and Tuesday, October 24 — at Hotel Clio for PAC members and Proofpoint executive hosts. Should you wish to arrive early or extend your stay, we will do our best to accommodate your requests based on hotel availability.
- The extension rate at the Hotel Clio $309.00 plus tax and resort fee per night based on single/double occupancy. This rate will be offered for three days before and after the meeting. Any charges incurred as a result of your extended stay will be your responsibility.
- You must complete your registration before we can work with the hotel to submit your request for the extension. Once we have received your registration, an event manager will contact you to verify your request. Please do not call the hotel directly.
- You will be notified via email when your extension is confirmed.

Airport Transfers

Denver International Airport (DEN) is located 25 miles from Hotel Clio. All attendees with be responsible for transportation to and from the meeting site.

FAQS

Will PAC members be expected to sign a membership agreement?

There is no requirement for advisory council members to sign a contract, but all partner organizations have executed a nondisclosure agreement as part of their partnership agreements. PAC members, as employees of these organizations, are bound by that agreement.
What do I need to prepare before the meeting?

Prior to the meeting, members will receive a briefing document outlining the session topics to be discussed at the meeting. These will include feedback questions the session leaders are seeking council on. We ask that members review these topics and arrive prepare to address these based on their individual perspectives / organizations.
Do I need to attend the whole meeting?

We are building a thoughtful and robust agenda for the meeting. We ask that you remain in the meeting room as much as possible to contribute to the discussion. However, there is space available to you to step out and take calls or respond to emails as needed. We have also scheduled in breaks and meals throughout the day.
Why do you need my mailing address?

As a token of appreciation, we will be sending gifts to all Partner Advisory Council attendees. Items will be shipped directly to your preferred address for delivery after the meeting. We'd love to tell you more - but that would ruin the surprise!
