Special guest speaker, Will McKeen, FBI Special Agent in the New York Field Office, will provide attendees with an overview of the FBI Cyber program and discuss how the Bureau is handling ransomware threats during this challenging time. Danny Howerton, Proofpoint Sr. Threat Analyst, will highlight the latest in threats targeting people, focusing on pandemic-related phishing, cloud account attacks, and the key security controls that can help mitigate the risks inherent in remote work.

Will McKeen, Special Agent, New York Field Office, FBI

Will McKeen is a Special Agent on the FBI's Financial Cyber Crimes Task Force in New York. Will specializes in Business Email Compromise and criminal computer intrusion investigations, with a particular focus on West African-based cyber crime networks. Prior to working cyber, Will spent several years as an analyst working on sanctions regimes and counterproliferation matters. Will is a certified FBI Cyber Instructor and Online Covert Employee.

Danny Howerton, Sr. Threat Analyst, Proofpoint, Inc.

Danny Howerton is a Sr. Threat Analyst at Proofpoint where his team is constantly viewing, analyzing, and researching the threat data that is produced from the Proofpoint Targeted Attack Protection (TAP) service. Howerton and his team monitor and track global malware trends, distribution trends and techniques, malicious lures, malware campaigns, and actors while also finding new ways to look at and ingest the TAP data.
