With over 20 years of experience in the information security industry, Ryan Kalember currently leads cybersecurity strategy and marketing for Proofpoint and is a sought-after expert for commentary on breaches and best practices. His global team of security experts ensures that Proofpoint’s customers have consistent insight into the attacks that target their people. Ryan joined Proofpoint from WatchDox where he served as both chief product officer and CMO.
Previously, Ryan ran solutions across HP’s portfolio of security products, was director of product strategy at ArcSight, and held a variety of positions at VeriSign, Ryan received his bachelor's degree from Stanford University, where he studied fault tolerance, cryptography, and authentication algorithms.
Phil Ross
Chief Information Security Officer at Air New Zealand
Phil is a seasoned Chief Information Security Officer with over two decades of experience in safeguarding critical infrastructure across aerospace, banking, healthcare, telecommunications, and government sectors. Working closely with executives and board directors, Phil has enhanced the cybersecurity posture of nationally critical organisations across Europe. After completing his European tenure Phil sailed back to Aotearoa, where he now leads a large team of Cyber and Identity innovators at Air New Zealand. He serves on multiple advisory boards and the Executive Council of Digital Internet New Zealand.

Brian Reed

Brian Reed is Sr. Director of Cybersecurity Strategy at Proofpoint. He comes to Proofpoint from Gartner where he focused on a wide variety of topics - cloud security, data security, incident response, insider threats and security awareness. Since 2015, he published over 50 thought-leading research notes at Gartner, including Cool Vendors reports, Market Guides for Digital Forensics and Incident Response Services and Security Awareness Training, Risk Management research, as well as the last two Gartner Magic Quadrants for Enterprise DLP. Prior to Gartner, he spent over 15 years in a variety of business development, product management, sales and system engineering roles, at companies including Sourcefire (acquired by Cisco), HP, McAfee and Internet Security Systems (acquired by IBM). He is well known in the information security industry and has spoken at numerous Gartner events, as well as other industry events globally. Brian also serves as an advisory board member and holds a BA degree from The University of Georgia and an MBA from Kennesaw State University.
Patrick Joyce
Global Resident Chief Information Security Officer at Proofpoint
Patrick Joyce is the Global Resident Chief Information Security Officer at Proofpoint. In this role, he serves as a strategic advisor to the greater CISO community and spearheads Proofpoint’s Customer Advisory Board (CAB). He is focused solely on the security needs of customer CISOs by delivering unbiased advice, knowledge and training to help CISOs stay ahead of the curve in the ever-changing threat landscape.
Mr. Joyce is a highly respected cybersecurity practitioner and industry thought leader with over 30 years of experience in the IT and security field. Before joining Proofpoint in 2023, he served as Vice President and Chief Security Officer (both CSO & CISO) for Medtronic, a Fortune 500 global MedTech enterprise, where he was responsible for leading the company’s global security strategies, operations and initiatives.
Prior to joining Medtronic, Patrick held leadership roles in both public and private sector organizations across multiple verticals, including healthcare (both provider & payor), travel/hospitality, and IT consulting. He also served as an Officer in the US Air Force and in the US Intelligence Community.

Area Vice President, Australia and New Zealand at Proofpoint
Crispin is Area Vice President, ANZ at Proofpoint where he is responsible for driving business expansion across the region for the company. Crispin is a sales leader with a 21-year track record of success and experience in the Information Technology sector, including 19 years in Security Software, 14 years in SaaS focused technology companies and 5 years in Endpoint security.
Crispin enjoys working with cutting edge technologies and is adept in determining, executing and proving strategies for rapid growth. Prior to Proofpoint, Crispin was Managing Director APAC for Webroot.
Adrian Covich
Senior Director, Systems Engineering, Asia Pacific & Japan at Proofpoint
Adrian Covich is Senior Director of Systems Engineering for Proofpoint in Asia Pacific and Japan, leading a dedicated team charged with delivering people-centric security solutions and programmes. Adrian has spent the majority of his 20 years in the security industry specialising in email security and associated leadership roles – he most enjoys working with organisations across the region to protect their biggest risks and greatest assets: people.
Jennifer Cheng
Cybersecurity Strategist, Asia Pacific & Japan at Proofpoint
Jennifer is the Cybersecurity Strategist for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) at Proofpoint, where she drives product marketing strategy across the APJ region. In her role, she provides expertise to customers and partners on Proofpoint’s strategies within people-centric security, risk management, data privacy, security awareness and compliance.
Prior to joining Proofpoint, Jennifer held various strategic and technical roles at Cisco and most recently, WatchDox where she drove all aspects of product go-to-market through to sales enablement and content development. Jennifer holds a Master of Business Administration in Strategic and Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BSE in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
