Sherrod DeGrippo is the VP, Threat Research and Detection for Proofpoint. She leads a worldwide malware research team to advance Proofpoint threat intelligence and keep organizations safe from cyberattacks. With more than 15 years of information security experience, DeGrippo successfully directs her 24/7 team to investigate advanced threats, release multiple daily security updates and create scalable threat intelligence solutions that integrate directly into Proofpoint products. Prior to Proofpoint, she led Nexum’s information security professional services practice for penetration testing, web application assessment, risk assessment and security consulting. Before Nexum, DeGrippo served as a senior solutions engineer for Symantec and was responsible for managed security solutions. Along with these positions, she has created internal services offerings for top secret government facilities and is a former Georgia Tech Linux Users Group officer. A frequent incident response and forensics speaker across user groups, DeGrippo holds numerous certifications including SANS GCFA - GIAC Certified Forensics Analyst, SANS GCIH - GIAC Certified Incident Handler, and NSA INFOSEC Assessment Methodology (NSA-IAM).

Tom Murphy is Sr. Specialist, Identity Defense for Proofpoint, Inc. Previously, Murphy held both sales and sales management positions at several well-known high-tech and security companies including RSA Security (now part of Dell), Blue Coat (now Symantec), Vormetric (Now Thales e-Security, Inc.) and IBM. As part of Proofpoint, Murphy has helped implement go-to-market strategies of the fastest growing business unit within Proofpoint, post-acquisition of the Return Path Email Fraud Group. The diverse background of working with teams across both IT and security has allowed Murphy to overlay the Proofpoint sales efforts in multiple verticals, as email authentication practices continue to expand rapidly throughout Proofpoint enterprise customers.

Mike Dempsey
Mike Dempsey | Staff Sales Engineer, Proofpoint, Inc.

As Staff Sales Engineer - EFD and Digital Risk, Mike Dempsey is the leading expert in Domain Discover, Digital Risk and Email Fraud Defense at Proofpoint. He has over 15 years of experience with Enterprise software, having held technical and leadership roles in security risk and compliance, social marketing and services, technical sales, and IT solutions engineering. Prior to joining Proofpoint in 2013, Mike held various roles in technical sales at Salesforce, IBM and Ahold Information Services. Mike holds a BS in Management Science and Information Systems from Penn State University.
